Our objective at MatchDay is to open soccer to everyone who wants to play, whenever they want to play! Every player is going to start with a self-rating, to communicate to the player community their level of experience. You can use this rating to find matches with folks at a similar level, or, if you desire improvement, look for more experienced matches. As our player community grows, so will the match filters. Soon, you will be able to choose between over 30, co-ed, female, premier, and youth specific matches. 

At MatchDay games we won't have a referee, but each of our games will have a Match Manager. Our matches are self-regulated. The Match Manager will be in charge of welcoming all the players, dividing and organizing the teams, as well as keeping track of goals for each team / player throughout the game. In the instance a dispute can’t be resolved between the two teams, the Match Manager will step in to help resolve the situation fairly and amicably. 

Our matches are 55 minutes long and begin promptly at the scheduled kickoff time. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in and get a proper warm-up in before play begins.

Everyone. At MatchDay, each player will do a shift in goal, and be able to take advantage of this time to rest. For example, if it's an 8 v 8 game, every player will play 7 minutes as goalkeeper. Your number in the app corresponds to your bib number and your keeper rotation number. We encourage the more fit crowd to take a shift early or late in the match and those working on their fitness to take a keeper shift near the middle of the match. A halftime of sorts for those of us working our way to match fitness.
